Keeping my Jicarilla Cultural arts alive is very important to me, most of my creative grandmothers whom each taught me a craft has passed away. I feel that I have to keep up with our arts and crafts traditions and teach my younger family members and other interested Jicarilla People.
Micaceous pottery has a long traditonal presence among the Jicarilla Apaches.
Today there are only a handful of Jicarillas making pottery.
